Omaha Poker Calculators

Choose among Omaha poker calculators for four-, five-, and six-card high equity, 8-or-Better split pots, or focused low-hand analysis. Each Omaha tool runs inside this browser and enforces the defining rule: use exactly two hole cards with exactly three board cards.

Omaha is not Hold’em with extra cards

In Hold’em a final five-card hand may use zero, one, or two hole cards. Omaha fixes both sides of the construction. A player must contribute two private cards, and the board must contribute three community cards. A royal flush displayed entirely on the table therefore cannot simply play for everyone, while one suited card in a player’s hand cannot complete a flush from four matching board cards.

PLO4 gives each player six possible hole-card pairs; PLO5 gives ten; PLO6 gives fifteen. On a complete board those pair choices combine with ten three-card board selections, producing 60, 100, or 150 legal high candidates. More dealt cards create more blockers and overlap, but never change the two plus three rule.

High, Hi-Lo, and a low analysis tool answer different questions

The three PLO pages compare only the high half and award each run’s whole pot to the best high hand or tied hands. The Hi-Lo pages apply Ace-to-Five 8-or-Better qualification separately. When at least one low qualifies, half the mathematical pot goes to high and half to low; when none qualifies, high receives the full pot.

The low page is an analysis utility rather than a claim that one universal low-only PLO game exists. It identifies the best qualifying low, the exact hole and board cards used, the current theoretical nut low, shared-nut exposure, and concrete next cards that change the low.

When the result is exact and when it is simulated

Fixed hands on a river compare directly. With a turn or flop, the browser calculation can enumerate every legal missing-board combination once when the evaluation budget is practical. Preflop spaces and any random opponent use seeded Monte Carlo sampling. The interface labels the selected method and never presents a sample as exact enumeration.

A simulation seed makes an estimate reproducible with the same inputs and iteration count. More iterations reduce sampling noise but do not turn equity into a forecast for the next deal. Mobile budgets are lower to keep controls responsive, and the same-origin worker supports progress and cancellation.

Local processing, privacy, and responsible interpretation

Cards, opponent settings, seeds, and results remain on the device during calculation. The Omaha poker calculators do not call an odds API, create an account, or upload a hand history. After the static assets load, core evaluation continues without a network connection. A share link includes selected cards only when the user explicitly creates it.

Equity describes outcomes inside the entered rule model. It omits betting action, folds, ranges beyond a uniform random hand, rake, table procedures, and player decisions. Use these Omaha tools for education and review, not as a promise of profit or a recommendation to wager.

Worked examples

Four spades on the board

Open the four-card PLO tool and give a player only one spade. The evaluator still selects two hole cards, so that player does not receive a five-spade flush.

A split pot with no low

Load a Hi-Lo page on a board containing fewer than three distinct ranks eight or lower. Low cannot qualify, so the high winners divide the entire mathematical pot.

Frequently asked questions

Which Omaha calculator should I choose?

Match the page to the dealt hole-card count and choose high-only PLO or 8-or-Better Hi-Lo. Use the low analyzer when the question is qualification, nut status, or counterfeit change rather than multi-player equity.

Why must Omaha use exactly two hole cards?

That fixed construction is the core Omaha rule modeled throughout this directory. Extra dealt cards provide more possible pairs, not permission to use three of them.

Can an Omaha player play the board?

No. Every evaluated high or low combination includes exactly two private cards and three community cards.

Are preflop Omaha results exact?

The pages default to seeded simulation preflop because complete-board state spaces are large. Exact labeling appears only when every eligible state is enumerated.

Do these tools send my cards to a server?

No. Calculation is browser-only; a URL contains cards only after you choose the share action.
