A blocker that never enters the best five
Add a fifth ace or flush card that blocks an opponent’s route even when another hole pair forms the player’s current best hand. Removal still changes the board sample space.
Use the 5 Card PLO odds calculator to compare fixed five-card holdings or uniform random opponents. The extra private card expands the choice of pairs and blockers, while every evaluated high hand still uses only two hole cards with three board cards.
Every completed hand checks 100 legal two-hole plus three-board candidates.
Five private cards contain ten unique two-card pairs. Combining them with ten board triples produces 100 legal candidates on a river. The engine evaluates all 100 and retains the strongest comparison vector, including every relevant pair rank, kicker, straight high card, or flush card.
Receiving five cards therefore changes option density rather than hand construction. A player may hold three cards that visually connect to a board, but no scored hand can include all three. This distinction matters when inspecting wraps, double-suited shapes, and paired holdings.
The fifth card removes another physical card from the unseen deck and can block more flush, straight, full-house, or quads paths. Exact players’ cards and the known board are removed before any random hand is dealt. Multiple random players draw without replacement from one shared remaining deck.
Random opponents represent uniform legal five-card holdings, not a strategic PLO range. Weighted ranges and partial unknown placeholders are outside this version. That boundary keeps the sampling meaning visible instead of silently inventing an opponent model.
A turn with fixed hands usually enumerates each legal river. A flop requires every unordered two-card completion, and each run multiplies by 100 candidates per player. Auto mode estimates that workload before choosing exact calculation; preflop or any random participant uses seeded simulation.
The 5 Card PLO odds calculator shows its method, state count or iterations, elapsed time, and reproducible seed. A sample remains Monte Carlo even if it happens to examine many boards. An exact badge means the eligible board space was exhausted.
Equity is average pot share, so tied outcomes contribute fractions. Win, tie, and loss percentages remain separate. On an entered flop, turn, or river, used-card images reveal the current two-hole and three-board selection rather than asking the reader to guess which of ten pairs won.
All five-card Omaha equity work happens in the browser worker. The model excludes folds, bets, rake, weighted ranges, and table-specific procedures, and it does not turn a mathematical estimate into advice about a future deal.

On a completed board the result highlights two of the five private cards. Those two identify the winning pair among ten alternatives; the other three are not illegally appended.
There are C(5,2), or ten, distinct hole-card pairs.
No. Five cards create more possible pairs, but each final hand still takes exactly two.
Each river board produces 100 legal five-card candidates per player, compared with 60 in four-card PLO.
The engine removes every known exact card and board card before it samples random hands or missing board cards.
Yes. A random opponent is a uniform legal five-card hand dealt without replacement, not a weighted range.
